Accidental extremely long posting...
So due to the combination of not having spent very much of my "discretionary" or "having fun" budget for that month, and having a business trip to Germany in which I suspected I would be doing a lot of waiting around and sitting in hotel rooms without very much to do, I bought a Nintendo 3DS back in Feburary. Last Monday, atreic and I went to see Phil Beer play the Junction. It was an absolutely lovely evening and a start to what would have been a near-perfect week had my performance in the CCB FITA Four on Sunday not been so terrible I didn't even submit my scoresheet. Arguing about Britpop...
So the BBC recently rather arbitrarily decided that Britpop was 20 years old this year, and amongst their celebratory programming was a top 40 of favourite Britpop anthems (which they then divided into a bottom 10 and a top 30, presumably because Steve Lamacq didn't feel like doing all 40 on his show). Last time I left off with my armies conquering most of the remaining neutral territory around me and advancing towards the cave-dwelling necromancers of Agartha, but yet to reach their lines.
