So I seem to have the remarkable ability of acquiring only jobs for which I put forth no effort whatsoever to acquire.

They’re not eloquent, they’re not deep, but this is how I felt about the best books I read this summer.  Really-- you should read them sometime.

Craziness may-- momentarily--be at a lull.

As a point of interest, the other night I dreamed that I had a platypus as a pet.  We kept him in my lake, and he'd swim around in little circles then come up on the dock for me to pet him.

How totally awesome is that?? I mean, seriously......

A happy summer solstice to all!

A fine time of the year for druidry, I might add....... yay for midsummer!

I forgot why I never visit my town library- they don't even have a copy of Lolita.

I didn't know that was possible.  In short, does anyone have a copy I can borrow?

And, on the walk back, I witnessed a near accident between a motorcycle and an ice cream truck.  Could've been messy...... but probably delicious.

So, I suppose "summer" so far has been a flurry of applications (leading mostly to dead ends), accompanied by a crazy excursion into the wild northernmost reaches of the country.

Aka, Maine was pretty awesome- much excitement, and we didn't even kill each other!  Quite to the contrary- I had great fun spending time with a few friends.
