Friday it was yucky and rainy and I went to Baltimore to get pizza at a place that makes duck pizza! I didn't get the duck pizza.... I can see that the reds are probably two different colors (or textures?) but this is one of those cases where, if you used the same fabric, I don't think anyone would question your judgment. I personally hate it when a costume has two oh-so-similar colors becuase I often worry that being "accurate" will come off as unintentional and make it seem like I just ran out of fabric. v__v My vote is to do what you think would look best with the costume and not necessarily what's 100% accurate. If you can find a good complimentary red, go for it! If not, don't sweat it.

Also, GOD that mask just gets scarier and scarier. And I seriously want to eat that cupcake! Everything looks amazing so far!

Yeah, I did queue onto the 2 different colors but don't want it to look wonky, because honestly the two swatches I have of the spandex I want to use are very different, and wouldn't look good together.

Thanks for your input =) and the compliments. I really want to make a bunch of those cupcakes in mini form just to decorate my sewing room.

T_T Maybe I should order some new swatches from another place. I mean in the miliskin I love the colors, but i hate the shear-ness of the fabric. My sister is favoring a cotton/spandex mix but I think it looks too mundane. This moleskin I like is just a bit shiny (but also comes in a matte that I didn't get swatches of) but the red for the checkers is going to be a bright primary red which i think will be too different.

Ugh, I hate that I always over analyze costumes, making them seem 100% more difficult then they really are. The worst thing is that unless someone has made the costume and analyzed all the silly details they would probably never even notice some of the things I notice.
