i had the privilege of playing David Byrne's (the brains behind the Talking Heads) organ sculpture installation on saturday. needless to say it was pretty incredible. It was in a run down building near the South Street Seaport. he hooked up wires and tubing from the organ to pipes and clanking devices so the entire room resonated when you struck ( Read more... )

i sliced off the tip of my left-hand middle finger today in my bookmaking class. I was surprised to find out that there was no pain coming from the exacto-knife wound. i think i had just cut off only my callus and had just barely sliced off the layer of skin that would have made it super painful ( Read more... )
