Hey everyone that reads this. I know that this will seem like an out-of-the-blue post for a forum where I am not so active of late-- but I am practicing telling more and more people before I am ready to say this to "everyone" via mass email in the near-ish future ( Read more... )

That's scary! I missed the word benign on the first read through, so I guess that's a small source of relief. And the timing on the health insurance couldn't have been better.

(My roommate all through college recently had his 5th brain surgery. I'm not in close touch with him, so I can't say how difficult it's been for him, but I can say that I talked to him recently and he's overworked and a curmudgeon-so having pieces of his brain removed didn't appear to change him any.)

Be well, and keep us posted.

Oh Man! I don't know how I missed this when you posted it a week ago, but I am thinking a retroactive weeks-worth of impressed thoughts at your positivity. I also missed the "benign" part on the first pass through, so reading these comments was a relief!

The good news is that I've known not one, but TWO people who had tumors right where yours is removed and who have had no real long-term problems after surgery.

The bad news is that now I'm paranoid that I'm radioactive and giving people brain tumors!

We're thinkin' about you down here. If I've ever known anyone who could stay (mostly!) positive about something like this, it's you!

Hey! I hope YOU guys are okay down there. Haven't been hearing much about Austin in the news. Are things cool?

Dear James,

I am so sorry that I am just reading this news now (via your recent post, which led me to read this one). I've been away, and away from lj as well...

My best wishes and prayers for you! I'm glad to hear that you have the support and insurance you need to get through this, and I will closely read your updates.

Sincerely,
Jesse

Hey man, great to hear from you. I've been back in NYC for the last few months and things have been cool as one might expect--- it was sort of a thing where it took a few months to get settled back into NYC life, and then this whole thing came up immediately after I began to feel that I'd reached that point. sort of comical, right?

Anyway-- I hope all is well with you and I look forward to hearing more about what you're up to. I'm avoiding asking "so what are you up to" when I can just go read your posts!

Peace man
