It's been a while...

I've been feeling rather disconnected from fandom and livejournal lately and haven't been checking in or posting as regularly as I once used to. Blah! I'm sure it's partly due to hiatus and partly duw to my waning interest in Smallville. But I'm here now so...

1) No crossposting any of my posts on Facebook please. There's not much chance that anyone ( Read more... )

I really don't care how Chloe goes out. They screwed the pooch, and I have no hope of them doing anything worth watching. I do hope Merlin is good this year though.

I still care. You never would have guessed, right? All I want is a happy Chloe, a successful Chloe...I want things to go right for her. I want her to continue writing in some capacity and just generally be awesome. It's not too much to ask but I bet I don't get it.

Re Marlin...me too. Only a week to go before it airs. Yay!

I'd like Chloe to go out as a reporter, and with some sort of hint that lets those of us who still Chlois imagine she might still wind up as Lois Lane somehow. I doubt we're going to get it, but I'll hope anyway.

What Elly said. I don't want her end to be shipper-centric, I want it to be Chloe-centric.

I want Chloe centric too. As much as I like Chlollie, I fear that they will focus on teh relationship too much to do Chloe justice.

Which is why I don't want to judge Chlollie but... it is a distraction from her character :( I'd feel the same way for any ship tbh.

It was the comparison to Bella that did it for me. That is a bad bad character. I cringe every time I think about it. So yeah, the annoying lack of female characters in Supernatural (I'm still pissed they killed off Jo) wins over that.

I found the poll hard too but like you, I would rather see no female character then to see one so badly written that it would pain me to watch her.

I see your point. My gripe with badly written female characters is mostly about when it's obvious that the writer doesn't care about the character/she's very obviously a Mary Sue/She's only used her to further the arc of male characters.

The lack of female characters and the fandom's insane hatred of girls is why I could never get into Supernatural no matter how many times I was told that it was a really, really good show.

Skirt over jeans never acceptable unless you're Chloe Sullivan.WORD ( ... )

I think the thing I hate about Bella is that she's given absolutely no lovable qualities, yet everyone ADORES her. I think the writer actually does care about her as she's kind of a self-insert and that's the worst part.

I want Chloe to be happy and doing something she loves. I want her to stop sacrificing for everyone and go after her own dreams. While I love Chlollie, I don't see that being where Chloe ends up. I see her leaving SV behind and pursuing her own path ... and running into two hot brothers on the road ;)

I agree with everyone above who wants her last five eps to be Chloe centric. Sure I want plenty of Chlollie, but there is more to Chloe than that one relationship. Chlark, of course, is a very important part of her life and better be given respect.

Agreed, agreed and agreed. We're not asking for much at all to want Chlark to be respected and Chloe to be happy and to return to journalism.
