It's been a while...

I've been feeling rather disconnected from fandom and livejournal lately and haven't been checking in or posting as regularly as I once used to. Blah! I'm sure it's partly due to hiatus and partly duw to my waning interest in Smallville. But I'm here now so...

1) No crossposting any of my posts on Facebook please. There's not much chance that anyone ( Read more... )

I want Chloe to be revealed as Clark's truest love. I do wonder if the reason why there are SO MANY DC characters of late is because they're trying to run through the back stories as fast as they can to show why Clark dumps Lois for Chloe.

Ultimately, I believe Chloe Sullivan will be remembered as a key player in Clark's formative years that shaped him into the hero he was suppose to become.

Chloe + Clark = Superman
Lois + Clark = Red Blue Blur.

You know what I prefer.

With regards to a skirt over pants, it's acceptable in winter months where the snow gets deep and the wind gets cold.

Do you remember the show Sabrina the Teenage Witch? Well, it ends with Sabrina dumping her financee on the alter and running back to her first boyfriend Harvey. The show did several things over the seasons to say that Harvey and Sabrina belong together--even when Harvey was written out for a short time, and she Sabrina was dating others, they always seemed to have the back idea there that it was Harvey and Sabrina. That's how I feel about Clark and Chloe and I can't discount the possiblity that no matter how much we're told about Clark and Lois, it will, at the very, very end, show us Clark and Chloe.

I will however add that getting the END I want is not the same as getting the show I want. I couldn't stand Sabrina The Teenage Witch during this time frame at all, and although I'm glad for the end, I find the last couple of seasons to be unwatchable.

Sort of like how I feel about SV.

First, I think there have been some interesting female characters om SPN: Mary, Ava, Sarah, and Ellen come to mind, but I think the show works better when the dynamic is focused on the brothers and their personal and family dramas.

Now, for Chloe, I just want her to be happy. I want her to have a good life where she's doing meaningful work and where she actually matters to those around her ( ... )

agree SO MUCH with your opinion about supernatural. it's a family story and it's about the brothers and their relationship with each other. :D and i for one never wanted to change that because it's what i love about the show.

Maybe I would feel better about Supernatural if I had no idea about how some of the fandom reacts to female characters. That's always really put me off.

I love all of your scenarios so much especially the last :D It would be amazingly fun. And your thoughts on Chlark mirror mine. Her part in his life (or his in hers) shouldn't be ignored because Clark got a girlfriend.

HI, YOU! *clings*

I've sort of lost that excited feeling I get before SV premieres each year, too, so this year I'm just getting super flaily about my other shows. I just read a bunch of BFI early screening reviews for Merlin, and I'm really pumped for the show now. And ITA completely with your wish list. I wish the writers knew how to write BOTH female characters simultaneously.

I don't know what I want for Chloe on her way out, really. I actually really wanted her to BE AROUND for the entirety of the season, but now that that's not happening... IDK.

I'd definitely pick lack of female characters over badly written ones. I can still enjoy the former for the male characters, but the latter makes me want to throw things at my screen.

Joining in the general consensus that I don't want Chloe's entire final arc to be all about a romance that only started last season. There's more to her character after nine years than just the shippy stuff. And I do love Chlollie, but it makes me nervous when that's all the writers seem to talk about in relation to the upcoming Chloe episodes. She's played such a huge part in supporting Clark that I will be especially disappointed if she's not around for the finale with the moment when Clark finally flies and becomes Superman

Hint towards a return to her first love in Journalism. Put Watchtower fully behind her and hand the reigns over to John Jones. I would like her to keep her friendships with those within the league, but not to allow those friendships to detract her from living her life (and by extension effecting her job ( ... )

Final scene *HAS* to be with Clark. I don't want Ollie nor Nois in the background. They could have their own private scene prior within the episode.

THIS SO MUCH.

I love your ideas so much. I agree that Chloe's final scene should be with Clark. What I would really really love is for them to say I love you. I can picture Chloe saying it with his full name the way she always used to say his first and last name. Whatever way you wanna interpret their relationship, there's no question that these two love each other and I wanna hear them say it ... and yes they damn well better hug in their last scene together.

awww, to your last paragraph. Yes, one can dream.
