Some people I work with at the airport are trying to bring in the union. So far I have heard nothing that makes me think this is a good thing. I have to admit I don’t know the in’s and out’s of how it works. My understanding is that we can join the union now. They will remove about $17.00 per pay from my check and in return I get some really neat

Unions not always a good thing....

You have to ask yourself... Are you being treated fairly? If you are and are happy with your pay, benefits, and policies that protect you from a bad boss, or weird situation, then I say leave well enough alone... Secondly, Unions are not usually a good thing for part time employees... Their focus is to protect peoples jobs (ie careers...) and you by definition as a part time employee screw that up... More part timers, less full timers
