The apologyext_316715November 10 2010, 16:36:14 UTC
Considering all that's happened on Facebook, I'm not 100% certain that the apology is genuine. I've seen some delusional wingnuts in my time, but Judith Griggs could have her own wing at Arkham Asylum. Have you received confirmation of the alleged donations to CSJ or the Food Bank yet? And to the best of your knowledge, is a class action suit being started against Cooks Source?
I applaud you for your strength and your convictions. It's too bad that Cooks Source and Judith Griggs cannot take the moral high ground, but they will pay.
Thanks for the update!

I'm sure I'm not the only whose given the side eye to the "apology" on the former(?) Cooks Source site. But it's an acknowledgment that something went horribly wrong which is better than nothing.
Also, shout out for taking the high road and staying out of the bulk of the crazy and encouraging folks to behave themselves. The internet can be a nasty place in such matters (look up Internet Vigilantism on Wikipedia, yikes!)
Your internet (and to some extent real life) will not be the same. Best of luck to you and keep up the good work! And please keep us posted (as much as you can legally anyway).
P.S I'm a horrid cook so I won't attempt to make your pie. My BF on the other hand...fabulous cook and loves apple pie so maybe I'll convince him to do one for Thanksgiving ;)

For the most part, anyway. I hope they really did make the donations.
Yesterday I unliked the CS Facebook pages. Today, a friend of mine with her own magazine ran into a copyright issue of one of her columnists. Apparently one of Countryside Publications' mags has stolen a photo, and blown the blogger off. See http://chickensintheroad.com/dailyfarm/appears-appears/, and help spread the word if you would.

If anyone does bet and win, I hereby demand an "idea man" fee of 100%. I am open to negotiation. :)
