My computer is back up and running. For reals. Got my power supply back this afternoon. Installed it right quick this time. Made sure it actually worked, and then completely disconnected my old hard drive. It's still in the case, but I really should take it out for now so that I can get some extra air flow in there until I get another hard drive. ( Read more... )

Back in town now. Got back in yesterday, actually. Did some moderate amount of drinking last night. Still kind of out of it now. OC is still in town for another couple of hours before, and then she goes back to Cali. Apparently there might be something happening a little later this afternoon, but perhaps not. It's probably about time for an update. This week has been nice...gotten back in touch with some people that I haven't talked to in a while. Things seem to be pacing themselves quite nicely. I may be taken out of the picture for a little while. Symptoms are looking like I have the mumps, which I find to be both odd and unsettling. I got the vaccination for it (a couple of times, actually) as a child, so hooray for modern medicine on that one.
