The year is moving along splendidly and I'm really quite happy, even if everything isn't perfect [yet!]. I've actually finally finished something!
The pattern for this loomed piece came from a book by Marjie Deeb called "Out on a Loom". The concept of mini-tapestries appeals to me because I rarely wear really large jewelry, and much of the more impressive beadwork patterns out there are geared toward that kind of design. It's amusing to me that I can forget how much better crafting something makes me feel about life. When I'm frustrated, in a funk, depressed, or just unsure, working on a project can be so centering.

Hopefully I'll be able to finish it and take pictures to share soon.

Despite being pretty damned cynical and having limited patience for other people's quirks (or my own, for that matter), I can be quite a people-pleaser when I want to.
