mac vs pc my personal battle

i was originally gung-ho for mac since alot of the apps i really want to use and whatnot, and aside from being a bit miffed by commercials and a few annoying mac users i know i had no problem

one thing i hate about microsoft (well, one little thing) is that they don't let you use hotmail with anything but goddamn outlook/outlook express.

I've never really used a mac before but I got it because the Reed computer department is very helpful with Macs and if you order it through the school it's cheaper and they give you an extended warranty, etc... which is good for a techno-tard like me. But if you found a computer for the same price that has comparable or better features and you have enough knowledge of computers to know what you're doing, why not get that?

i hope when you were talking about militant mac users you weren't refering to me....BUT TRUST ME AND GET THE MAC!
think about it for a minute, if something happens to your computer at reed would you rather it was a mac or a pc? also, if the programs you want are on a mac how many times are you, whilie struggling to get a pc program to do what you want, regret not getting the mac? compare that to if you did get the mac, are you really going to regret your choice b/c of an obnoxious sign?
