This might very well disappoint you more, but there was actually no gorp on this trip. Alas, we sustituted in fruit and granola bars instead.

There was also no mallet. Though I have never really seen the point. Sure, it makes putting in the stakes a little easier, but why bother hauling that thing all the way in for a 2 minute activity that can be accomplished with surrounding rocks?

The pot was duly brought and smoked when set on the fire.
