There is a moth on the side of our house that is about the size of my hand. I'm not sure whether to be fascinated or terrified.

So apparently sometime since October I've developed an allergy to cats. This is unfortunate because we happen to have a cat to whom we are both very attached, and regardless of my allergist's attempts to bully us into finding her a new home, she is not going anywhere. So I'm having knee surgery Friday. It's primarily exploratory, to figure out exactly what's wrong with my knee. If there's something that can be fixed easily during the same procedure, the doctor will fix it while he's in there. So according to my pulmonologist, even though I don't actually have asthma, my lungs think I do, at least right now, and they're acting asthmatic. So even though all the tests for asthma are negative, I'm having asthma symptoms and need to be treated for them, and therefore I'm back on asthma meds temporarily.
