Scooby-Doo cake pops

Yeah, I made them. Yeah, it was a giant pain in the ass. It was also fun and I'm looking forward to the next time I get to play around with it. I wrote the whole experience up over at Pidge In The Kitch, if you want to check it out.

They may have been a PITA, but they look AWESOME!

My experience with buttercream is that it melts. Butter is not stable at room temperature, no matter what the storybooks say. Then again, cream cheese frosting is not much better. I would use royal icing. JMO.

Also, humidity is why they sweat when you take them out of the freezer. There's not a whole lot you can do about that...
