Some time ago, it became clear to me that there are a shocking number of people on this island who lack the ability to read and write properly. Ignoring for a moment the fact that the native language of this place is English anyway, this is nevertheless indicative of a broader lack of culturedness plaguing the community ( Read more... )

Man, you really need to relax, the world's not going to end just because some people forget to cross their 't's and dot their 'i's. Conventional writing is so restrictive, I think you should encourage more free style writing and interpretive language. That's how things evolve and change and we end up with awesome words like 'culturedness' and 'frabjous.'
