Love it--the lack of senses actually makes it more sensual.

Oh, I loved this. Very tender H/C, almost innocently sweet despite what happened to Rose.

I especially loved this bit:

The Doctor wondered, as Rose wrapped her arms around him comfortingly, just when this had become as much about her taking care of him as it had become about him taking care of her.

So them.

And I would *love* to see a second part. I kind of need to know Rose gets better.

It's funny, because I was thinking of scrapping that line - guess it just goes to show that I'm silly.

I'm usually really lazy about second parts, but I've got today off...

I'm glad that you liked it! Ta. :)

I can't think of the title at the moment, but there's actually a recently published book by a nurse who actually advocates this sort of activity for couples when one of them is in the hospital (but in a condition where it's safe to do so). It lessens anxiety and apparently helps in the healing process.

Rose immediately threw her arms around him, her chest pressed to his side and her cheek squashed against his arm, as if to prove to all and sundry that he was to be trusted.

It's too bad he couldn't park the TARDIS closer, but at least he found her fairly quickly. I'd hate to think what would've happened if she'd been accidentally listed among the dead (which happens somewhat frequently in such situations).

Makes complete sense. Not to mention that sex is one of the best things for pain in general, lessening the need for meds.

Ahh! I didn't even think about that. I'm not sure the Doctor could have handled that much worry and heartsbreak.

I think it would work towards calming down worried patients, but there'd definately need to be some sort of organization to it.

This really works for me and I hope you write a sequel. Interesting thing to looking into. I've seen the Doctor loose a sense (or two) but never Rose. Very nice.

Really? I've never read a fic where the Doctor loses a sense. *is intrigued*

Thanks! I'm glad that you liked it. ;)
