Have just remembered I spent ages being paranoid that I hadn't replaced the cambelt on my Corsa and as it turned out it was chain driven (the year model I had) and I was duly mocked by the mechanic.

You might want to check that for the models you are looking at, for potential future saving. With the Corsa it depended what year it was.

I reckon that Corsa Ds are chain-cam driven, but I can't find a reliable way to say for sure.

LOL. No, I don't, and I don't have one here to look at either. Was hoping to find out from a reliable source rather than by experiment. :-)

(If chains are better, why wouldn't all cars have them by now?)
