SCA Adults and (Zombie) Biting

Gads I must be getting old.

There are times when I hear things that people are doing at events in the form of fun that leaves me shaking my head.  I thought I knew what fun was.  I laughed a lot.  Made fun of other people and acted like a git to start the laughing.  I have even done a few things after more than one adult beverage that was not so ( Read more... )

*snerk*

Ahahahah. I bet it's the same person/incident. Violence when drunk seems to be a thing with said person, whether it's biting or randomly coming up and kicking my husband in the shins.

erm. anything that breaks universal protocols is not funny to me. but I'm wierd that way.

(Monty Python accented quote about how a peer bit my sister once. dont laugh, peer bites can be painful... not withstanding)

if someone bites me at an event, can I respond medievally?

I was thinking more along the lines of beating them, burning them, whatever. oo! a trial! we could have a trial where they have to prove that they're not in league with the dark forces! thats' always good for a laugh.... then a nice public execution with snacks! fun for the whole family! and educational!

I shall join you in shaking my head. I think my response would have to be spilling their adult beverage on them. Because if they are zombies, they need neither human beverages nor clean clothes. And if they decide they are just "pretending" yet have actually freakin' bit me, they don't need any more booze.

I can explain the logic the next day ... loudly ... when they are hungover. That way, they can have some physical pain, too.

'Cause I'm just mean that way.

WYF, Seriously? I'm totally bogsmacked that anyone (drunk or not) would think that this is appropriate behavior.

My immediate reaction when anyone grabs me without permission is to try to get away- if more than mimimal force is needed to get away then the next instict is boot to the groin.

There's "fun", then there's physical assault. I do not find physical assault amusing, I find it disressing and react accordingly.

First off, GROSS. I know there are people that do not shower during a weekend or rarely at that fact. EWWW, EEWWW, EWWW.

Second off, Breaking of the skin usually brings about blood and other things. Again with the EWWW.

Third off, you fu**ing touch me, I will punch you. Peer or not. That is invading my personal space. And no I don't want to hear it was all in fun. Cause for me it would not be fun.

Just EWWWW

PS: I thought your parents taught you that biting wasn't okay to do when you were 5.
