There are 23 days left in the school year and seven of those are 1/2 days for the kids!!!!!!!!

My little cousin's organs will be helping six other children. I hope that they all live long, healthy, productive lives knowing that a very special little girl helped them to live.

This morning as I walked into my classroom my phone was ringing. It was my mother, who had just spoken to my cousin. My cousin told my mother that she had some bad news, her first reaction was that something happened to my aunt whose health is poor, but instead was told that my 8 year old cousin was brain dead. My only complaint is that the school's psychologist scheduled a meeting at 4PM TODAY!!!! Who the hell wants to go to a meeting after hours on a Friday?????? I think I feel the plague coming on.....it's very contagious you know ;-)

My old aide was sent to the classroom that has the severely physically handicapped students.  He will help lift the students in and out of wheelchairs, therapy equipment, feed, and diaper. My aides time with me is very limited. My supervisor came to observe my class (my aide) yesterday and was shocked at what she saw. She very quickly noticed that he was doing everything that I had asked him not to do and then some. Needless to say she has some major concerns as to his "fit" into my classroom. That is what my new aide is alright. I was asked by my principal to type out a list of duties, responsibilities, and guidelines for my new aide. One of my students spent the afternoon walking around the classroom with his head stuck through the hole in the back of his chair and administration was no where to be found! Need I say more?
