The show tonight...fucking killer. This band called Gratitude opened - fucking Jonah from Onelinedrawing was the lead singer!!! Almost shat once that realization occurred. He is the nicest person I think I've ever met (and I did, after their set...rad ass). The next band, The Honorary Title, had this killer twang to them that I thoroughly ( Read more... )

minus the bear, the only band that mattered. and jonah alone. and so many people i was near were lame! no one was dancing stage right! but then again, they were the sorority girls/frat guys who went to see straylight run purely for their big song.

I know, I wanted to dropkick a couple of people. But alas, it was not that kind of show so that would've been rather random hah I had a white trash couple behind me (and that apparently trailed me all night)...they kept hanging all over each other and making out. They came in during The Honorary Title and the guy kept yelling at them and was like "Look at all of these fucking kids - they're just standing there!" What were we supposed to be doing? Skanking? Then during Minus the Bear he yelled "YOU GUYS SUCK!" Yes. Stupid cracker.

hah But it was still a glorious show.

[Quentin Berg posting:]
I saw Onelinedrawing open for Thursday over 2 years ago. Jonahs can really belt it out live. I have most of the gratitude CD where it was leaked. It is very good as well.

Very nice. Yes, I definitely need to check out more of Gratitude. I think he ended up playing a solo set somewhere around town afterwards but I left before everything was over so I'm not really sure. His voice is just full of "WOW" live and he is one of the most gracious and appreciative artists I think I've ever seen. It was sorta refreshing.

Yeah, he is a really cool, down to earth, and modest guy. He's also insanely talented. :)

I think "insanely talented" is a proper description. Definitely.
