I've never been more scared in my life. Not when I almost drown, not when I almost got kidnapped, not even while I slept. I now have a new fear. A fear of people hanging up on me, and me never getting to hear from them again. And I was too scared to cry. Too scared to shake. Too scared to yell, or call someone, or make peace with myself.
