Oh my god! How have I never read Pale Fire before? (To be totally honest, the only Nabokov I've read is Lolita.) I am so in love with this book! I have this bit of cancer in my right breast.

Tomorrow I'm having surgery. Yes, it's kind of scary. I can't even make a stupid joke to deflect the fear. There's going to be a knife and it's going to cut out an ugly mass that I have nightmares about being the same one that killed my brother. Like it's some beast stalking my family. Fuck you.

maybe it's the beer talking, but Okkervil river can kiss my ass. They'll most likely have to roll me over after they put me to sleep to kiss it, but they really need to kiss my ass. they are boring and sucky.

Justin's grandfather died on Sunday so we're back on US soil for a week. We'll be out on Long Island with his grandmother for almost all of it, but if we do make it into the city, we'll let you know.
