What the hell?

As I said before, I'm not a huge Sox fan. And when I went to bed last night to a 7-0 hole, I shut the TV off. I couldn't bear to see someone else celebrate at Fenway.

Talk about a shock this morning! Whoah. Why do they always do this?

Wait a minute. Are my eyes deceiving me? You're not a huge Sox fan?

The Fenway Faithful know to never, never, never, never give up on the Red Sox when they're down 3-1 (or 3-0, for that matter) in the post-season!

I feel like a huge poser when I say I'm a Red Sox fan, let alone a huge one. Unlike you and countless other real fans, I never rode the "misery train" as my brother calls it. I became a fan the day of game seven of the 2003 ALCS when the Yankees won and the Sox choked (again). Nothing like the literal decades others have put in to earn their happiness.

But lesson learned, man. The Sox will not go down without a fight, and tonight will be a hell of a game!

I'll agree with you not being a fan through the long and dismal years, but that doesn't mean you're not a huge fan now. :-) You did become a fan before they were World Series champions, so that means you aren't a "jump on the bandwagon" fan.

Tonight will be great, but I know I won't be awake to see the end of the game. I fell asleep at the top of the 7th last night, which wasn't much past 11pm, and I didn't have to get up early today. Having to get up at 5am tomorrow is a guarantee I won't see much of tonight's game. They're up 1-0 right now, so they drew first blood. :-D
