I'm not sure if its your thing (or Lindsey's...eeh, i probably spelled that wrong, sorry!) but HBO's The Wire is one of the best written cop shows I've ever seen. Seasons 1 and 2 are out on DVD and well worth watching. They treat each season as kind of a visual novel that tells one complete story in 12-13 chapters (each episode). The cool thing is that they split time between a group of Balitmore cops as well as a West Side drug organization. So you get to know all the homeboys as well as the five-oh.

And if you dig cop shows, The Shield is pretty incredible too. I have all the episodes on tape/DVD if you're interested.

And crap, I need to set my Tivo... for some reason I thought Central View was 6pm again.
