With the exception of a few varying ones according to the version of the myth, vampires maintain a resistance to most of our bloodborn pathogens to the extent where they only get sick temporarily for ingesting diseased blood.

let's talk about this one day, because I've never read anything saying that, man.
I had always just kinda asumed based on what I read that until that blood ran out they were kinda passive carriers of whatever they had in them. they were dead. germs don't usually attack dead bodies.

I wanna point out the 1800's new england TB outbreaks that caused everyone to think the dead were vampires as a reference.
