I really think Augustus would suit you well. The calm analytical part, cautious-yet-adaptable, the way you would handle a course of war with only what's sufficient and with swift efficiency, being progressive and disliking stagnation. The dry humor would have been fitting for Tiberius, I suppose, but I don't see why other emperors wouldn't have them, particularly Augustus. I think there's a pragmatism that would go well with the first emperor - relying on what's usable, say going with the gods story and having thought the senate as both necessary and annoying, but good enough for bouncing ideas of.
bathshua made excellent points in why you can be seen as both Augustus and Tiberius. Personally, I can see Marcus Aurelius, too, but more of Augustus.
