I am now being critical of myself because I haven't been keeping my cookies in my own cupboard of happiness. They're in the pantry.

I like the shape and flow of this piece. The hurty parts work well with the meditative humor throughout.

This is pretty clever, thank you for sharing it! Also had a moment myself years ago... my dad oh so casually mentioned that I'd ruined his life and if he could've talked mom into aborting me, he would have. It's the super-mega-casual nature of certain comments that really drive them home. So I had a personal moment with this entry, and some snickers at your good word choice.
