I'm loving this so very much. I really have to say again - thank you - I checked on AO3 today and the Interludes are currently netting 25k words. This fabulous project you launched me on is amazing. It isn't even about word count, it's just fabulousness in general, but word count is at least measurable...
And thanks to you I now have a ridiculous number of words strung together to tell a (though admittedly slightly ridiculous at times, overall) fabulous story.
I know Sherlock is in danger and pain and that this should probably not be my first reaction...but oh, it's sweet! I like how John distracts him with running lines while he's stitching him up (and how Sherlock of course reads into the lines a little bit to boot, even with the pain - or maybe because of it). And even though John is close to freaking out, how he's still managing to keep his head and look for sources of light and fishing wire and be a bit flip in his conversation (the line about how Sherlock's not allowed to die b/c John refuses to play Benedick to anyone else).
(Now I'm wondering how long they were in the cabin before Mycroft or Lestrade are able to rescue them - are you going to skip to the next month, or is there a part two?)
John is not only a good doctor, but he is also a good friend - and you spotted it perfectly.
You also helped me out because I was always going to skip to the next month - but what I hadn't realized was that there should be some down time spent convalescing - I imagined it would be in the background, but now I'm going to write a bit of actual story to throw in because it is going to work so much better that way...
You're very welcome, I like being all muse-y and such.
What I did think was interesting was the tone of the lines John and Sherlock were running. Because, after all, they were about Benedick and Beatrice professing their love for each other. I'm fairly sure that you're not going to take the story in a slashy direction - but oh, how this chapter could go there so easily. (I kind of feel like the characters were almost pulling you in that direction, and you were trying to reign them in. I know I had two original characters like that once. Annoying, persistent berks, they were, too

My reply to this turned into a post. :-) It just made me type a whole lot.
The kiss was mentioned in passing during the MST3K chapter - February - and yeah, there is going to be that moment when the director says, 'And now you kiss.' and their eyes will meet and they'll probably break the first rule and giggle a lot. And then they'll kiss. But Sherlock came back from the dead. So a couple of kisses really aren't going to change anything.
It seems LJ has eaten the first comment I left! So I shall now attempt to recreate it: All the love for this one! You have some of my favourite things; hurt Sherlock, BAMFY and doctorly John, bromance to the power of infinity and candles. I think this has become my favourite one of the series and I want to hug you for it!
Yea for a new favourite! I'm a sucker for the hurt/comfort. I won't be able to seriously rough up either of them in the Much Ado chunk so had to get in a bit of it here. :-)

And I love that John has Sherlock's blood type memorized by now.
