Intermission - Yuletide (not IF)
Sorry, IF readers - tonight's post is about my Yuletide fanfic signup. I have lost cool points with the IF crowd.
To recap:

"Any, but hey, wouldn't Captain Hammer/Dead Bowie be cracktastic? I just thought of that now. You can totally ignore it and just write something."
Now, browing along here, you may see what I like. There isn't much fanfic anymore, because I've largely dropped out of my fandoms; for the last two years, the only fanwriting I've been doing is for Yuletide. This ranting you see as all the most recent entries is for old-school gaming; you may be able to tell what I like by reading the reviews.
Things that are awesome: atmosphere (I'm a visual and smell-oriented person,) blasphemy, brutalist architecture, medicine, disorientation, sly looks, things one person notices that the others don't, ritual, obsession, things that remain (I was an archaeologist until I was 26, it never really leaves), and, well, grammar.
Things that aren't so cool: poo, animals, or song-fic.
