Today is the day for the city, the province and the country to honour fallen Toronto police Sgt. Ryan Russell, who lost his life in the line of duty.
The 35-year-old was run down last week by a stolen snowplow he was trying to stop. He leaves behind a wife and two-year-old son.

Severe thunderstorm warnings, possible tornado in Midland and a 5.0 magnitude earthquake near Ottawa that I actually felt.

Went to check out the G20 perimeter fence last Sunday. Just walked along Wellington from Bay to Spadina 'cause I didn't feel like circumnavigating the MTCC for the full effect. G20 Summit will be in a couple of weeks, around the time when the core of the city is in full swing with the tourist season. They started putting up the security fence around the Metro Convention Centre yesterday, which will run just south of the entertainment district and comes right up against the financial district.
