I printed my first proof of my first set of new etchings today. It sucked and it took several tries before I got the pressure set on the press right, but it's still exciting. Yesterday I finally put needle to copper and started my first etching in......a year and a half? May I be sentimental for a breath? The moment I poured the hard ground out onto the plate warming on the hotplate was a memorable one. Its a beautiful thing.
