Why I hate getting a haircut

Since as far back as I can remember, visiting the hairdresser or barber has been an intimidating, embarrassing experience that seems designed to humiliate me. And yet everyone else treats it like some sort of fun outing from which they emerge, like a butterfly, oozing with joy about their new 'do, finely coiffed and strutting. I used to have exactly this problem with hairdressers, I hated going. Then I found a hairdresser I really liked and I got to look forward to going and I knew they would make my hair look nice... now it's closed and I'm trying to find somewhere I feel comfortable again... and failing miserably. The last haircut I had (last minute desperate booking) cost a fortune and I don't think my hair looked any different when I left than when I went in. Rubbish :( I need to find out where my old hairdresser went to.

Yes, I think once you find a hairdresser you need to keep hold of them!

It's a bit of furniture on which you store hair instead of dressing materials, I think.
