Fly trap

Does anyone have a lightbox-style fly trap that I could borrow, like right this fucking minute? Seriously. When I left the house this morning, there were maybe 4 or 5 flies in the kitchen. When I got home tonight -- after a fucking 12-hour day at work, mind you -- my kitchen and dining room were full of flies. There could easily be 100 flies in

We had a fly infestation like that once in our old apartment. Never did figure out what caused it--probably a dead mouse or squirrel or something in the walls. Lasted for a few days. Totally gross.

Best that I can say is do a lot of cleaning in case wherever they're breeding is somewhere you can find, and deal with the ones you have by either killing them or letting them out.

These kinds of flies lay their eggs in dead stuff, so you've got rotting meat somewhere around. Whether you can do anything about it...well...I second temvald. EWWWWWWW.

Well, we're both vegetarians, so I *know* there's no rotting meat. And I think if I had a dead critter somewhere in my house, I'd be able to smell it? Maybe it's in the walls or something. In any event, EWWWWWW! I hope once this round is dead there won't be any more. Since I can't find the source, there's nothing I can really do about it, I guess!

Yep - that sounds like dead thing in the walls, basement, vents, something like that. And yes, you'd be able to smell it if you were close enough. Can you call your landlord?

We just had a very similar infestation today -- in our downstairs bathroom. Could it be weather related somehow?
