I'll admit that I'm EXTREMELY glad it's being lifted as well. I do kind of understand why it was there in the first place though. Back in the day people were completely homophobic. Being gay didn't mean you could be someone's BFF! It didn't mean you would be accepted in anyway, it meant you would get your little bum kicked... the law was there to protect everyone and it was there because people are jerks.
I'm glad the gay community is finally getting progress. I'm also glad to have recently learned that Denver is one of the most Gay friendly communities. YAY Denver!
I guess the law was there for a reason but that reason has prety much passed now. i mean the majority of people (i hope) now can see that LGBT people are no different to anyone else...and such laws are stupid and backward.
