three- (video/action for Route 32)

Feb 21, 2011 00:00

[The video comes on, and it adjusts for a moment before focusing on Sissel's face. He looks really amused, for some reason.]

Hey, I want you to take a look at this. Lynne, doesn't this remind you of a certain crazy character you know?

[He turns the camera to show his Pidgey.]

[Which is currently dancing.]

[Well, it isn't really dancing, but it is ( Read more... )

[Lynne is forever amused by that Pidgey.]

Haha! It really is like Inspector Cabanela!

Missile acts a lot like Missile, Kamila acts like Kamila, and my Mudkip is really shy like Ruby. I haven't thought of a name for him yet.

[Of course you are. It even has his hairstyle!]

Yeah, Ruby was going to be called Rube Goldberg, but then I found she was a girl. So Ruby it was.

Hmmmm. I'm not the biggest expert on names, really...maybe Bailey? Like that prison guard.

Rube Goldberg, huh? What inspired that name?

I guess. It's a cute name, and I can't think of anything better... So Bailey it is!

Well, I was trying to think of names, and I remembered that machine that I saved you from- the one with teh Cupid. And I remember that something like that is called a Rube Goldberg machine. I don't remember who Rube Goldberg is, but I thought it sounded good.

Now, keep an eye on him. He might be doing a "Panic Dance" if you're not too careful.

They're almost like kids, aren't they? Somehow, I get the feeling that this is what parents feel, maybe. Just a little.

[A pause of consideration.] Their personalities can be a little surprising, to be honest.

Parents? Yeah, I guess that is what the feeling's like. I can't really say, seeing as I don't remember what having a family feels like...

I agree. These two were born at the same time, but they're as different as the sun and moon.

It's the variety that makes it interesting, isn't it? They compliment each other.

[A hum.] Amnesia?

It really does make it interesting...if they all had the same personalities, then it would be rather boring, wouldn't it?

Exactly! I lost all my memories after I died...I'm still trying to remember, but not much is coming back...

My own pokemon are...[He tries to find a word to describe them] difficult, to say the least.

I cannot deny, however, that I do enjoy their company.

Difficult? Are they giving you trouble?

Yes, well, they certainly are good company when you're all by your lonesome. I'm quite glad I have them, to be honest.

One could call it that. Only a few days ago I lost one of mine in Cherrygrove City. This one tends to wander off on his own quite a bit without warning. [He holds his Drowzee up and wiggles it around a bit as it stares off in a daze.]

Indeed, I am certainly grateful that they are here with me. I would be terribly lonely without them here with me.

Oh, you better keep an eye on it. Though if it likes exploring, you should let it do that...just not too much, I don't think.

...You don't have any friends here yet?

[Man, if only he could reply to these feeds without POKÉMON ATTACKING HIM-- but alas, when Miles' response comes, before he could even reply there's a Plusle jumping on his head, followed by a Wooper, and then a Growlithe, all catapulting on and off his head before they continue their game of tag. And Miles, rubbing his neck because ow that kind of hurt turns back to the camera, a quiet Charmander sitting on his lap with one end of his scarf around her own neck, hands clinging to his shirt. And there is a large Arcanine seated behind them both. Sissel - Miles Edgeworth's team in summary. :|b Oh, and there's a small Cubone sleeping on Miles' knee, too.]

...I was going to explain, but I think you already know what they're like now.

[beat]

Hello, Mr. Sissel.

[Sissel opens his mouth to say hello at the first sight of Miles, but he watches as Miles' team swarms him. There's a pause, and then Sissel laughs with amusement.]

I can certainly see that. Hello, Miles. You doing okay?

Hey, that's how they show they love you, I guess.

Pretty good. Though now I'm apparently in a competition with your sister to see which one of us has the best Skarmory.

[Byrne can't help but laugh at that Pidgey's struttin'. It's cute, really!]

Oh, mine definitely have unique personalities. One pretends to be a phantom thief and the other thinks she's an alarm clock. [Laughs.] They're quite a handful sometimes.

Phantom theif? I'm guessing it's a ghost Pokemon? Funny, I was a phantom, but it's not like I could steal things as a ghost...

Well, that's what makes them interesting, right?

Of course! It's like having kids all over again. [Another laugh.] Though actually, Little Thief's a Vulpix - and she's definitely 'cunning like a fox'.

[...Now that mention of being a ghost intrigues Byrne a little.] Wait, you said you were a 'ghost'? (How does THAT work out?)

Ah, I see. I wouldn't know what having kids would be like, but I guess it isn't that different from this, is it?

Yeah, I died before I came here. I was a ghost, but now, I'm alive like nothing happened.
