my phone bill went from s$60 to s$27!
after three days of careful consideration, rather than immediately getting the new iphone i had my mind set on from my mobile service provider, i decided to downgrade my contract with them instead and effectively halved my phone bill! the amount i'm gonna save over the 24-month contract period will pretty much pay for my new iphone 6 when apple ( Read more... ) -

took a blood test and hoping for the best. was a tad scary seeing a thick tube full of dark red blood you know is yours. have many thoughts on things that have been going on in my mind of late, and i prolly also owe this place an update on my new place etc. but not now because daylight on a day off is precious. till later then. -
i am my own person
surprisingly, almost all my stuff got delivered today, except the fridge and washer (cos i bought them only today); they'll be delivered tomorrow. i renew my visa on friday, cable/internet guy comes on saturday. i think about the ridiculousness of having to walk across the road with my pillows, and i feel, well, ridiculous. lots to do, really... tomorrow marks the start of my six-day stretch of leave and days off. there is lots to be done. my furniture arrives tomorrow, appliances the day after, in between, i have to get everything cleaned properly and packed and moved over, get cable and wifi set up, and then return the keys and settle some documents, etc. (and fit in a wakeboarding ( Read more... ) -
moving slowly
this whole moving limbo thing is gonna go on all the way till september 2, when i officially hand back my old flat. so far i'm relatively satisfied with the new place, which is much more spacious than the old one. it's just that over at work, they're so terribly short-staffed right now that i've been told i can't take any leave till later on this ( Read more... ) -
a goof and a loon
humour is a rather intriguing thing...so wide-ranging and random and ridiculous. sometimes i think i'm really a closet ah siao at heart, finding humour in the most unlikely of matters, laughing to myself over the smallest, silliest of things. i think i might well be crazy. -

aiyah i think about moving then i feel fan. i think about not moving then i feel even more fan. let's hope my viewings will prove fruitful and that i find a nice cosy comfy affordable place at a suitable location. -
yellow bird days
posted this song on my fb too. it reminded me of a primary school p.e. teacher, mr reuben john. he performed it for the kids one children's day a lifetime ago, just seated on a plastic chair in the middle of the school stage, just him and his guitar, and a nice deep voice that many tall dark men like him seem to possess ( Read more... )
