I don't know what i did, but my knee's been fucked up for the past week and a half. It's a rather bizarre injury. there wasn't any sort of "acute" instance where i was aware that i pulled something, it's just been sore. It started with waking up in the middle of the night with it hurting *a lot* and during the day it seems to be ok other than when ( Read more... )

Yeah, my knees suck too. I feel it after walking a long time.

I had a weird foot problem for the past week too. It's FINALLY getting better.

WE'RE GETTING OLD. I guess it's ok timing. I got through the belt test despite it, and Rafael's out of town for a week and a half, so maybe i'll just chill and hope it gets better.

Haha that is funny. everyone has those verbal tics, and the "So" thing got a lot better toward the end of the talk. I think i do the exact same thing.

I find the "Talking too slow" thing hilarious. maybe that person's just used to people talking at a high clip and doesn't know how to deal when someone's speaking at a normal cadence. Good job on that by the way!

well my other more helpful friend (kidding) that's in med school narrowed it down to "moviegoers knee" or patellofemoral syndrome. point is, it's not called porn star's knee ;)

Yes...but it SHOULD be.

Ill bet they could get more funding for a treatment if it were called that....crazy NIH.

Apparently they funded a study to see if 0-2 year olds can have orgasms.

hahaha, sort of. i guess i would have gone to my normal doc, not urgent care so it would have been different. However i have gotten 4 prescriptions from my normal doctor and she's never even examined me, which makes me slightly suspect, but ultimately ok with it :)

I had a very similar problem last year - I'd get intense pains in my left knee when hiking or sitting cross-legged. I'd always assumed that it was a dodgeball-related injury, but as with you I hadn't had a "pop" moment that started it all. It's mostly better now, only lots of uphill hiking brings it back (good thing there's no hills in Colo... wait a sec!). Good luck with your knee.
