Yeah i totally agree with you. They're really past the point of no return. I read an article by Mitt Romney that basically said if the government bails them out without making them go through bankruptcy, then they'll go out of business in a year anyway. A lot of my family works/worked for the big 3, so it's weird. I will also be a shock to all the union workers when their pay and benefits get cut in half...
yeah, and even if they get bailed out, people are still screwed. They need some major restructuring. It's just amazing how much things have gone down hill in 6 months...
Yes, its very scary and depressing. plus, even though ryan's company doesn't solely supply to automakers, it's still a pretty large chunk of their business. yikes! right now they're so busy that they're on permanent OT (Ryan works 56 hours/week), so we're trying to save as much as possible in case the worst happens and if it doesn't we'll at least have money for my masters. It still amazes me how lucky Ryan and I are.
