I have an account over there, but I see no real reason to make the switch.
Anyone care to comment as to why they did? Or didn't?

I am one with the herd. I have my name over there, but don't post/read much due to the critical mass being over here. I do back up my content, but I don't blame LJ for the current DDOS mess. They've done some stupid things I don't like, but this one is really not their fault.

I've gotten really into Dreamwidth. I find the interface much more user-friendly and the atmosphere to be much more comfortable, as LJ used to be for me. There are lots of little things that DW does better, like being able to respond to screened comments without unscreening, to post anonymous polls, to separate out access and subscription.

I participate in far more DW communities. The whole DW community is smaller overall, but my friends list over there is now larger and substantially more active than my list over here. And I'm happier about giving them money than I am about giving LJ money. If they had a picture-hosting service, I'd probably switch over completely.

I moved mostly to follow someone's writing, although that's petered out of my interest lately...that being said, it's handy to keep private me (here) from public me (there) when I write out my IF reviews.
