i read your post and even though i live in the US, i totally empathize. (i live in nyc and in williamsburg, which is like...the epicenter of emaciated hipsters. i'm such an anomaly, a street photographer stopped me to take my photo once because that's how much i stood out for being fat. haha. i also went to parsons, which is a design/fashion centric school and i was, without exaggeration, one of the top 5 fattest people in the entire school. male or female.)

i have met tim gunn! he no longer works for parsons, but he did for the first couple of years i went there (i graduated this past may) and he stops by occasionally for events still as well. he IS awesome and the way he is on TV is how he is in real life. he's the real deal!!!

I'm glad you still have a home to post at. I really love your style and would hate to see you gone completely =) Also, I have a feeling the new 16w rule won't last. Maybe I'll be wrong, but it seems like it has stirred up so much unrest that they will decide to modify it again.

Same here. My Wii fit calls me obese and that should be good enough for them! I kid (Wii fit calls everyone obese) I guess I'm not as worked up as others as I don't post outfits anyways, so I'm not really inconvenienced. I happened to like spectrum of people posting, though, and don't think all will filter over to this comm. Also, I am waiting to see if they start taking posters location into account if they're taking into account height/weight ratio (like in your case) Some of the posters who are "thin" come from a culture where they are considered fat. I guess I just am going to hang in for the ride, though, and see what happens (and knit some headbands while I wait, lol)

I am one of those people and something like this just makes me think that the mods over at fats should just straight out say as well as being fat positive, gender inclusionary etc, fats is also US centric.

I always enjoy your posts, and apparently we're body twins (except that I have a LOT of butt). And apparently I'm also not fat enough to post OOTDs on Fatshionista anymore. Which is insane, because I am most assuredly fat.

Anyway, I love the outfit. And I legendarily hate yellow, so that's saying something. :-)

haha i usually wear a LOT of black and grey, but for some reason that yellow cardigan called my name. (after i'd already bought the same one in grey and black, that is. hahha)

and thanks! i wish i had some butt. i got my dad's body shape, except with boobs. (seriously, even our feet look the same..except mine are smaller) my lower body measurement is the result of hips n' gut. haha

Well I might -- just might -- be relenting on my yellow hate. My mom got three sweaters the other day -- one black, one brown, and one mustard yellow -- and the yellow was actually my favorite, perish the thought.
