I've just read that World of Warcraft is putting on ANOTHER event for the launch of Wrath of the Lich King, with the capital cities being under siege from the Lich King's forces. Actually, I just realised that two of the tone generators were turned off and that's the sound of just one of them. With another two of them, things get a little mental.

So, I layered the same multi-oscillator tone generator over three octaves, bumped the detune up to full, and patched the detune amount for each voice to an envelope with a very slow attack so it would slowly decrease over time, evening out the sound. As if to prove how limited Wii Music is compared to Reason, I just spent the best part of an hour playing the same three notes using the same patch over and over and over. I've been writing loads about how amazing the Dreamcast was. Now I really, really want to get an Xbox360 and Left4Dead.
