Arthur/Eames, sapiosexuality bookshop August 16 2010, 02:47:12 UTC

Arthur likes boys, and Arthur likes girls. But the one thing that gets him hotter than anything else is intelligence. If he has any type at all, it's confident, educated, well-read, multi-cultural, and sophisticated, and unafraid to show it.

Suffice it to say: he doesn't think Eames is his type at all. But then something happens that puts the two of them alone in a brand-new setting, and Eames just switches on on a whole new level that Arthur's never seen before.

The subject under discussion can be up to the writer, but the point is that whatever it is, it lets Eames' show off his smart, fascinating, intellectual, frequently underestimated brilliant side. And it turns Arthur on so much that he has a hard time not giving himself away ( ... )

ahhh, seriously, now i kind of want to make an "in defense of eames" post or something but. OH WHATEVER, THIS PROMPT BEING FILLED WOULD BE THE ONLY DEFENSE I NEED. <3 it really is canon, god. the sapiosexual in me is totally into the idea of knowing what goes on inside eames' head. Also it kills me that he obviously (Tom Hardy obviously, but also the Eames in my head) wears these, like, trappings of sleaziness ironically to hide how brilliant he is: the tattoos, the camwhoring, the braggadocio--even when he's actually mild and charming and warm and really wise.

OT, but as a prospective Royal Holloway student and former high school fuck up, this post made me smile. Damn, the idea of having Eames as a classmate. *_*

Hahaha that interview, dude, Tom totally owned JGL with French movies/directors.

But for serious, someone should fill this, because for some reason this fandom doesn't like to make Eames brilliant. :| And he is, quite largely so.

AND JGL IS JUST STARING AT HIM RAPTLY THE WHOLE TIME HE'S GETTING PWNED, TOO. :D

no, seriously, i think Eames is brilliant. I mean I know I'm not the only one who noticed that HE LITERALLY PLANNED THEIR ENTIRE JOB???? AND THEN EXECUTED MOST OF IT WITHOUT A HITCH?? AND THEN THREW IN AIR DUCTS IN CASE THEY NEEDED THEM SDKLJF;ASDJFKD seriously he's so brilliant, oh my god.

THIS, A MILLION TIMES THIS! He did, he came up with all those fucking ideas and easily adapted Cobb's general plan into something more fine-tuned, something that they could work with and fuuuuuuuck- the air ducts.

ILU AND ILU FOR THIS VIEWPOINT ON EAMES this is what everyone in this fandom needs to believe, A++ love.

yessssssssssssss yes yes yes a million times. HIS WHOLE RIDICULOUS SPEECH ABOUT MULTI-NATIONAL GLOBAL CONGLOMERATES OR WHATEVER THE HELL HE EVEN SAYS, it's like his brain just has a rolodex of knowledge he flips through or something to get to "the relationship with the father." Seriously. You know if he and Arthur ever actually sat down and had a real conversation they'd never shut up.

I actually find it frustrating that Eames just gets limited to come-ons and flirty remarks so often. HE PRACTICALLY BEGS FOR ARTHUR TO TAKE HIM SERIOUSLY IN THE MOVIE. COME ON, FANDOM. GIVE SMART!EAMES A CHANCE.

omfg can we be smart!eames friends, anon :(

D: I ALSO FIND IT FRUSTRATING I mean yeah, that's part of Eames but good fucking Christ, he doesn't spend his entire life being a smarmy delicious Englishman!

ALSO HE IS THE ONLY ONE THAT CAN PRONOUNCE SAITO'S NAME CORRECTLY.

AND ALSO X3. He not only has to be able to forge references, but he has to be able to read body language in order to properly study them to impersonate them in a dream; has to be able to pick up the slight intonations of their voice patterns-- just because his spelling was shite on the poker chip doesn't mean he is illiterate.

ONE MORE ALSO, THIS MAKES FOUR: it is incredibly hard to forge signatures haha oh high school >__> , so that his handwriting is versatile? FORGET ABOUT IT, he's a fucking genius.

...well maybe not a genius.
BUT ALL THE SAME.
