As you may have heard, LiveJournal is proposing a number of structural changes to the layout and design of comment pages. The proposed design can be
seen here; the entry is in Cyrillic, so it will require Google Translate or similar to read. (A translation of the text can be found
here.)
For this community and others like it the biggest alteration will be the removal of subject lines, where we currently request prompts have their preferred pairing and any trigger warnings in order to let community members use the meme without experiencing material not to their taste. This change is due to take place during the next release, expected on Tuesday 20th December (you can read what little has been officially released
here.)
We want to reassure you that when this change happens we will do our best to preserve the meme's structure to prevent anyone being upset or alienated while keeping this as an enjoyable fandom space. We may have to change how prompts are presented, but please be assured will we try to make this as clear and simple as possible. At present the changes are intended for S1 format, the default for basic users and the one we currently use for each round entry, however until we know the exact details of how the change will effect us we are unable to let you know how we might accommodate them. As soon as we have more details we will let you know.
Should you wish to contact LiveJournal with your thoughts and feelings about this change, please use the
contact form, selecting either suggestions or feedback. You can also tweet @LiveJournal and leave comments on the relevant entries (making sure to use the subject line!) Please feel free to pass on these details to anyone else who might be effected, such as RP or discussion communities or memes, so that they too can let LiveJournal know how communities use this facility. Thank you in advance for your patience regarding this and for any support that you can give.
