Round-up: Crossovers

So I LOVE crossovers, especially fusions that make you believe Inception and another series can exist in the same universe. Unfortunately, we can only post a max of 10 recs (sob), so here are a few which may be less known. In some of these, the Inception universe and the other universe blend together beautifully; others are just hilarious or fun stories where the Inception characters are written into the other series.

Title: A Regular Kid

Summary: I hate vampire fics -- but this is a HILARIOUS and outrageously bad ass one in which Arthur is the Slayer, Ariadne and Yusuf are his bffs, Cobb is his Watcher, and Eames is the vampire with a soul. The plot in this is really quite amazing, and I laughed and laughed. (Even though Eames is Angel, which pains me in ways I can't describe.) This doesn't have any of the plot of Inception nor the characters from Buffy, but the author does a great job working in all of the Inception characters in important ways.

Summary: Hands down my favourite Inception fanfic. Set a year or so after Inception, Arthur, Eames, and Yusuf get sucked into doing an extraction for old Johnny Quid, except nothing is what it seems. Handsome Robert Eames is older and wiser now, but his old buddies haven't changed at all. This is a really exciting, sexy, funny, and bad ass fusion that has a similar feel to Rocknrolla (or any Guy Richie movie of your choice, really), and I found it absolutely brilliant.

Summary: A very clever and non-cracky crossover in which Arthur is really one Thomas Soloman, Information Officer. His mission is to watch over dreamsharing.
The name change hadn’t been, strictly speaking, necessary. In fact, it had been kind of a pain in the ass, forcing Arthur to go back and alter almost everything in his original dossier. There wasn’t really any reason he couldn’t have gone to the recruiting office as Thomas Solomon except the nagging sense that if he did, he’d never really be able to leave behind that long-haired sex-obsessed pubescent kid. It was a weird impulse, based more on intuition than logic or research, but Arthur had by then been a human long enough to respect his animal instincts.
The name Arthur meant ‘bear’; perhaps a bit of a stretch given this body’s stature and slender frame, but at least no one tried to shorten it into some kind of diminutive form. Arthur was nobody’s ‘Tommy’ anymore.
