I went to Burning Man! It was a 32 hour drive out there. Very long, but not as long as you might think. Expectation has a lot to do with whether or not a long road trip is soul crushing. I personally like driving, especially when I have someone neat to do it with, and Ian is a great travel companion. He's cheerful, agreeable, will listen to a lot

Small world moment...

I did a Google image search for monkey hut. I clicked on one of the results and got to this post. I was scrolling down through the images of your approach to Black Rock City, and when I got to the 5th one where you're showing the visibility of the car right in front of you I thought "Oh hey, I have the same car." I thought the car had a vanity license plate that said "OK on it, but then I looked at the bikes. "Oh hey, I had the same bike." Then I took a closer look at the license plate and realized the letters are "AQK." That's my car! We were right in front of you going in! I feel like I've witnessed a little magic today.

And then he passed it on to me! It's so awesome to see this photo of our very first burn. We were so nervous at that point, wondering what was in store. Thank you for bringing back great memories!
