[…This was unexpected. After trying to figure out just where she was for a little while, Nunnally came to the conclusion that she had absolutely no idea. This wasn’t anywhere that looked even familiar to home

[His day proceeds as it normally does - morning coffee coupled with catching up on the crime reports from the night before, mundane tasks around the office as dictated by Edgeworth, sarcastic banter with C.C. peppered somewhere in there, avoiding contact with Schneizel and Clovis (if he can help it), establishing more contacts within the populous of Somarium, and reviewing all of the dreams and videos broadcasted by the other residents
( ... )
[The face is unmistakeable, the voice is the same as it always was, possibly a bit more confident than the last time he heard it (despite the fact that it is laced with some uncertainty as she addresses the camera and the population of Somarium).
Thoughts begin to flood his mind, uncontrollable at this point, each hand starting to tremble as the grip tightens around both the pen in the right hand and the Dreamberry in his left. She's here. She's finally here. His Nunnally, his precious precious sister is finally with him again. It's been over a year since he last saw her alive... even longer since he was able to sit by her side and enjoy her company as they did in days long past.
And, despite the fact that both Suzaku and C.C. told him that she was alive, seeing her face and hearing her voice on the Dreamberry is overwhelming. Her eyes. Her eyes are open and they are just as beautiful and bright as he remembers them being, an outstanding shade of violet he hasn't seen since they were children
( ... )
[And the tears begin to form, quickly welling up and spilling over on to his cheeks, his notebook, the Dreamberry still clutched tightly in his hands. At first, they fall slowly, but the longer he sits there listening to her and watching the video, the more they come.
Finally, finally he musters up the strength to call her back, to talk to her. He doesn't want her to see his tears, but that can't be helped at this point - there's no way a mask would be able to hide them. He can't cover this up, not at this point.
The thoughts continue to swirl in his mind, more and more pouring in as every second ticks by. How will she react to his being here, his being alive? She's obviously experienced Zero Requiem - she's asking for Zero. How will Suzaku respond? Clovis? Schneizel? Her health, both her physical and mental well-being, are at stake - How will she fair after seeing two siblings who she knows are dead? Will she even want to see him, to talk to him
( ... )
[As the call connects, his head is turned away from the camera, his eyes focused on something, nothing in particular, on his desk.]
Nunnally...
[His voice is relatively strong, considering the circumstances, though he doubts that it will remain as such. He swallows the lump in his throat, determined to talk to his sister, clearing his throat to try and make this easier. But Lelouch is afraid. Afraid he's going to upset her, that she won't want to talk to him, won't want to see him, won't be able to look at him...]
You're finally in Somarium. I-- I can hardly believe it, I've waited so long to see your face again...
[Violet eyes quickly glance at the Dreamberry before turning away once more]
Where are you? I don't want you to be alone in this unfamiliar environment. Please, tell me where you are, I'll be there as soon as humanly possible.
Hello! You must be new here! [Have a friendly Atoli smiling happily to you.] You're...you're in a place called Somarium now. It's a dream world. [It's confusing. She knows. Also, have a pause.]
Zero? Ummm, nope! Sorry. I don't know anyone by that name.
Yes, I am. [...Oh, what a change. It's refreshing. So she smiles back.] Someone told me that I was in a place called Somarium, though I'm still not sure I understand why everyone calls it a "dream world".
[She nods.] Thank you very much for answering, anyway.
[More smiles~] Well, from what I understand, we're suppose to be asleep back home? I...I don't really get it either. [She laughs nervously, but then nods.]
You're very welcome! I haven't been here long myself, so I know how confusing this all can be.
[She nods.] A lot of people from home seem to be here, and they've contacted me already. [Including her dead brothers, which is still quite a shock for her.]
You're welcome. People answered me pretty quickly when I was new here too. As in, brand new. Right now I guess I'm not too new, but still a little new.
