Week-end
I spent this weekend on Orcas Island. Tessa and I were visiting her uncle and grandmother who live there. We had an amazing time. It was the first weekend in awhile that I've been able to have a really relaxing (albeit short) vacation. There Are No Bad Words...
It's May in Seattle and it's so fucking beautiful outside. We usually don't get this kind of weather this time of year, but I think we deserve it, especially since our shitty spring. Yesterday hit 90 degrees, and today has been in the 75-80 range. Unfortunately, I had to work all day yesterday, but it was almost too hot to really be out doing ( Read more... ) -

Last night Tessa took me on a surprise adventure as part of my birthday present. We saw a burlesque show as part of the moisture festival at ACT in the round. It was pretty amazing, and totally unlike anything we would normally have gone to. It was hosted by the amazing faux French Madame X. Bellingham, the Return
I made a (short) return trip to The 'Ham last night to see my friends in the Dead Parrots Society. It was my first trip back to the city of subdued excitement since I moved down to Seattle in September. The show freaking rocked my socks off. Home, Sweet Home
We made it home last night at around 7:00 pm. The trip back was free of any car trouble (thank God!) and I only had to drive 11 hours yesterday (including rest breaks and such). I'm glad to be back, and also glad I made sure I had an extra day before I have t go back to work tomorrow. Today has been a really lazy, not do much kind of day. Just ( Read more... ) -
The Promised Land
Well, we're here in Palm Desert, CA. It's warm (like 70+ degrees F!) and sunny and there are palm trees and cacti everywhere. People have orange and lemon trees in their friggin' yards down here! 600 Miles Later...
We made it!...halfway! Now in the Super 8 Motel in Redding, California, almost exactly 600 miles south of Seattle. I drove it the whole way, and that kind of sucked, but I pushed through it. It was not without troubles, however. In Roseburg, Oregon, we had to pull off into a Big O tire, because somehow my alternator belt had gotten really loose ( Read more... ) -
Road Trip!
Tomorrow, Tessa and I are heading on our way down to Palm Desert, CA on vacation. We'll be making it down in two days, stay for three, and back in two days. Should be fun, and much needed.
