One

How perfect that Lee is the type of young man who would feel obligated to buy something just out of courtesy to the shopkeeper. For all her many flaws, in this respect Caroline did raise him right. I like that Kara is so clearly on his mind that he buys it for her on instinct, and that he still can't quite give it to her later.

Two

I love the quiet affection here, especially from Kara who couches it under her "yeah, whatever" attitude. Very fitting for S1 Pilots that she'd immediately take off to go jogging, and that he wouldn't join her (even though he'd definitely want to.)

Three

They really are so great together in the skies. I also like that, despite the stress of the situation, they play this like it's just completely normal for them -- of course he'd save one raider for her, and of course she'd tease him about it.
