...two nights ago, I learned the butterfly stroke. I'm completely inefficient and look absolutely like I'm drowning while I do it, but at least I learned it. went snowboarding last weekend to make some use of the massive snowfall we got. usually we go to canada to ride, but we haven't had much time to make the trip, so we went someplace local, which is usually tougher because our powder blows off, melts and then freezes into ice patches, is scraped off by all those who crowd every ride-able mountain we ( Read more... )

I ran my 5k, and failed to realize that it was a cross country race that I signed up for. (Whoops!) So. Running through forest trails in 39 degree rain...felt like I was flying during the downhill bits, especially since my shoes would slide through mud on the way down (that park wasn't really able to handle the water that came our way--our run ( Read more... )

today I tried hatha yoga for the first time. The class ran for 90 minutes, and I nearly died. (makes no sense not to do it because classes are offered for free at my building, and on sundays only 3 or 4 people ever show up, so it's nice and personal.)
